Everyone was so friendly! The check‑in lady, probably named Adriana, was incredibly helpful and made us laugh after a long drive. We asked for side‑by‑side rooms but ended up on different floors, which was fine. Thank you for all the kindness.

Staff were friendly at check‑in and check‑out, and the housekeeping team was courteous. The hotel’s public areas looked tidy, and our room was spotless. The room itself was comfortable and the A/C worked great. We didn’t have breakfast on site, so I can’t comment on that, but the kitchen area seemed clean and well stocked. The location mattered to us because the Tiger Town shopping center, restaurants, and gas stations were all within walking distance, which was handy after two long days at the statewide championship swim meet. Being able to hop onto the interstate each morning to reach the Sportsplex quickly was a big plus. Overall, I was very satisfied with the property. The bathroom lighting was awful—bulbs looked like they were about to burn out, which was annoying. I always bring a travel‑lighted makeup mirror, but it still felt bad. The outlet in the bathroom couldn’t hold any of the three hair dryers we tried—mine, my daughter’s, and the hotel’s—so it was extremely frustrating. A refresh of the lighting and outlet might help.

The hotel was average. The coffee was decent, the place was clean, and most staff were friendly. I was insulted by an extra $20 incidental fee after paying $170 for this 2‑star hotel, and I expected Marriott BonVoy members to be treated better. They promised a refund in 5‑7 days, but I’m not sure if that will happen. The walls were paper‑thin and there was a lot of noise. The toilet was too low for us older folks.
