We stayed a few nights at the Magdalenenhof, were greeted warmly by the house manager and got into our room quickly; the room was huge, had a balcony and a nice view of the Bavarian Forest, and breakfast was tasty with everything you could want, like fresh scrambled eggs; it would just be nice to have insect protection at the balcony door and windows.

The family warmth and pleasant atmosphere from the beautiful, modern décor, a very good and extensive breakfast buffet, and a fine dinner menu were all positives, but room 207 was above the smoking island and smelled heavily of cigarettes, windows couldn’t be opened at night, there was no outdoor area to cool down, and the limited number of recliners in the sauna didn’t provide the relaxation we expected.

This hotel is fantastic, with very nice rooms, great dinner food, and an excellent breakfast; the staff are very friendly, especially the boss, and everything is simply top‑class—words can’t capture it, you have to see it yourself, and I’ll definitely return.

The breakfast offered everything we could wish for, and the room itself was great, though we would have liked more light and space in the bathroom. The kids in the indoor pool and sauna area were noisy, but the dogs on site were well‑trained.
