The rooms were clean and had been freshly renovated, making them perfectly adequate as a starting point for hiking, cycling, and motorbike trips. The breakfast, however, was quite basic—just white rolls, sausage, cheese, jam, and honey. The outdoor staircase was broken and in need of repair.

We were a hiking group staying there. It’s always nice when everyone can stay in the same accommodation. The rooms were all modernized, and in my opinion there were no shortcomings. The town of Lonau is very remote, which has advantages, but for some it’s less convenient. The loud Lonau (the town is named after the stream – or vice versa?) adds a romantic touch. While the rooms are renovated, the outdoor area still needs work; there are wires hanging around, but maybe it will be finished someday. Breakfast was unusual, but I don’t want to complain; I recommend offering more than just wheat rolls in the future, such as whole‑grain rolls.

The staff were friendly and straightforward, the breakfast was good but a bit pricey, and the hotel is currently undergoing renovations.
