“飯店直接連接 Canal City Hakata,非常方便。晚上商場的鋼彈水舞與光雕很精彩,飯店 1 樓還有現場音樂演出,整體真的有一種回到美好 90 年代大型飯店的感覺。”
I really enjoyed staying at Grand Hyatt Fukuoka, which exudes a “90s classic luxury” vibe. The overall space, from design to materials to lighting, feels like a large international hotel from the previous century, something newer hotels rarely achieve. Even though the facilities aren’t brand‑new, the hotel clearly works hard to maintain its quality and service standards. It’s directly connected to Canal City Hakata, which is super convenient. The evening shows at the mall—Gundam water dance and light shows—are spectacular, and the hotel’s first floor hosts live music, giving a real 90s hotel feel. The location is great too; you can walk to riverside stalls, Koshida Shrine, and shopping streets. The nighttime atmosphere around the area is especially pleasant and very vacation‑like. The only downside is that some equipment feels dated, like the toilet’s weak flush that sometimes can’t clear the paper in one go, a typical challenge for older hotels. Overall, I have a strong affection for this place and would definitely choose it again if I return to Fukuoka.
