I stayed two nights over the warm May bank holiday weekend and couldn’t find fault with the place; it’s exactly as described—a comfortable bed, a clean shared bathroom nearby, a secure property, and a quiet spot just minutes from town on River Street, though that street itself isn’t the cleanest and has a lot of rubbish and overflowing bins, a problem outside the B&B’s control that could use more local attention; I did notice litter pickers on the street the morning I left; the host Colin was friendly, informative, and met us throughout our stay, which was just what I needed for the price I paid.

Cheap and cheerful, the price really does what it promises, and the host cracked a few hidden gems for us. For the price, it’s a solid bang for the buck.
