The hotel is near São Roque, but the parking is tight, there is no elevator, and all access is by stairs.

Despite a hiccup at check‑in, the stay was great: the lodge is pleasant and comfortable, breakfast was excellent, well‑prepared, and served with great hospitality, and we were welcomed warmly throughout. However, I had informed the Booking check‑in notes that I would arrive between 23:00 and 00:00, yet I actually arrived at 00:35; the lodge advertises 24‑hour service on Booking and even displays a LED sign stating the same, so I called both the landline and mobile listed and rang the bell several times before finally being attended to about 25 minutes later. The check‑in itself then took another 15 minutes to finish. Although my arrival was late, the lodge’s 24‑hour claim and my prior notice led me to expect a smoother reception for late arrivals, so the delay was quite inconvenient after a long trip and arriving in the middle of the night.

Breakfast was barely adequate, the room was cramped, and the bed felt stiff—definitely not worth what I paid.
