The property is historic and interesting, and we enjoyed the restaurant and bar. Unfortunately, the historic rooms we booked were unavailable because of a plumbing issue. Even though we knew about the problem a week in advance, we weren’t informed until we were almost there and couldn’t cancel. We stayed in the annex, which was okay but not historic. We received a small discount, but this is an expensive hotel and we would never have paid the full price for the annex room. Guests should confirm historic rooms are available before traveling.
