Ruixin Hotel Near Jiangbei Airport

The bed was surprisingly comfy, which was a plus. Getting there was a nightmare – the directions were vague and only in Mandarin, so I spent ages trying to locate the place. The front desk is tucked away and easy to miss, and the window in my room wouldn’t shut properly. To top it off, the shower was right next to the bed and the toilet faced it, which felt odd.

The hotel is just a few stops from the airport and right next to a bunch of restaurants and BBQ stalls, so you’re never far from a bite. The room itself looked fancy, with a comfy bed, a well‑furnished bathroom, and a window that opens up to the city skyline. The only downside was the loud toilet flush at night and the automatic light that would turn on and rouse us.

“Good for stay in case of late night arrival or early departure from/to Chongqing airport”

Getting to the hotel is a breeze from the metro—just one transfer from the airport—and the room was clean and roomy enough for my needs. The downside? The staff barely answered my pre‑arrival questions about the free airport pick‑up, and I had to figure out the metro route on my own. Plus, one of the windows wouldn’t shut completely, so traffic noise kept waking me up, and the downtown transfer took almost an hour.
