I was on a road trip from Fortaleza to Jericoacoara and decided to break up the drive with a night in Icaraizinho. It turned out to be the smartest move I made. Fabiana, the French owner, welcomed us with a warm smile and the breakfast was simple but delicious—especially the chocolate bread. They also whip up tapioca and scrambled eggs on the spot. The room was spotless, with fresh linens and a nice scent, and the pool area was clean too.

The service was friendly, the place was comfortable and quiet, but there was no TV in the room and the parking wasn’t covered.

We found this pousada to be the best we saw on our trip to Ceará. We booked one night but ended up staying another because the hosts were so friendly and full of useful tips for exploring Icaraí. It’s also better decorated than most other pousadas.
