“Perfect stay in the perfect spot!”
The place was amazing, located right in the heart of Amsterdam yet surprisingly peaceful and private. Darja and Frank were brilliant hosts—helpful, responsive, and they made us feel at home. We’d definitely book again; this is our favorite spot in Amsterdam. Nothing to complain about—it was wonderful. Many reviews mention the steps are steep, but we handled it fine; it added to the charm. It’s definitely not for anyone with mobility issues, but I don’t think that’s a problem for most.
“Fantastic oasis in the center of Amsterdam”
We were well informed about access to the property in advance; they sent a short video showing how everything works, which was very helpful. The location was perfect—about a 20‑minute walk from Centraal—and it felt like a green oasis in the city. The terrace was beautiful, and we were lucky to have sunshine while we were there. Inside, it was light and airy with plenty of daylight, and the wooden blinds provided privacy. Darja and Frank were absolutely fantastic; they checked in after the first night to see if we needed anything, though we didn’t. They had universal adapters to charge all devices, which was very useful. The bathroom was fantastic—great water pressure and the bath felt luxurious and super relaxing. Great hosts and great property. We loved staying and would definitely visit again. Take care, Darja & Frank—thanks for letting us stay at your place. The only minor gripe: as Scots, we could have used a larger mug with a handle for big cups of tea, but honestly, nothing else to complain about; the place was gorgeous.

The central Amsterdam location is fantastic; walking around is effortless and the tram to the station is just a few minutes away. The apartment is quirky among the rooftops, featuring a lovely secluded patio. Frank gave a fantastic personal welcome—thank you. It’s not a negative, but be aware of the access to the flat; we were older and managed the steep staircase with luggage just fine.
