The location, rooms, and breakfast were great, and the staff were very friendly; we were able to check in early, which I highly recommend. The only issue was a slightly leaky shower, but otherwise everything was fine.

“Nichts für kinder”

The restaurant food and the staff’s willingness to help were positives. However, the hotel is very old: the room was dusty, the bathroom rusted, and the chairs and table in front of the room were ancient. The view from the room was just the wall of the building. The mattresses were hard and old, and the bed frame was broken. There was little parking, the breakfast was not in the main hotel but in a place across the street with a better view, and no one was at the reception. The tourist tax was incorrectly calculated and only corrected after detailed inquiries. The swimming pool required a 10–15 minute walk, and it was also far from the center.

The food at the sister hotel was very nice, with great-tasting dishes and plenty of options, and the drinks were reasonably priced. The hotel management completely lied to me about the stay. When I booked, I made it clear that I couldn’t climb stairs because of ongoing mobility issues. We exchanged many emails about the room and the length of our stay. We initially paid for two nights based on the advert, but a week after booking we wanted to extend to six nights. A week before departure, the hotel emailed me saying we couldn’t stay longer than the two nights we originally booked, forcing us to find alternative accommodation just a week before our holiday. When we arrived, we noticed that the photos and information were mostly from the sister hotel, which was across a busy, winding road and where breakfast was also served. The advertised swimming pool is actually in another hotel about 800 m away, with no changing facilities. When I complained to management upon arrival, they spoke to me in Italian in a way that seemed to assume I didn’t understand, even insulting me. Once they realized I could understand, they went quiet and dismissed my complaint. They never tried to fix their mistakes or apologise. The room was awful: dirty with many faults that were never addressed. The bed had no duvet, only a sheet, and when I asked for an extra cover I was told none were available.

“Nice location and views but facilities were not convenient”

Nice location and views. The hotel has a great location with beautiful views of Lake Garda, which were the main highlights. Facilities were inconvenient: check‑in is done at another hotel about 200 m away, and the swimming pool is at a different hotel around 700 m away. The hotel also does not have private access to the lake; you can use the public areas or pay separately for sunbeds and umbrellas.
