The spot was shady, with space to relax, play, read, and close to the beach, easily reachable by bike, all under great weather. Occasionally a smell of feces drifted into the tent, possibly due to a defect.

The lodge sits on the La Chesnay campground we’d known from past mobile home rentals, so we didn’t expect to return; the arrival was a surprise. The lodge is old and lacks 5G connectivity.

We really enjoyed our stay. The hosts’ smiles and warm welcome gave us a good boost for the rest of the weekend. A quiet pause amid nature makes this lodge a peaceful little cocoon.
