Villa Koi

Villa Koi is a fabulous place, even more beautiful in reality than in the photos . The owner, Robert, is extremely kind, welcoming, and always willing to help with anything you might need. We had a wonderful holiday and would like to thank Robert for making our stay so special. We highly recommend this villa to everyone!

My wife and I recently enjoyed 10 days at villa koi for our honeymoon. We had an amazing time there. The location of the villa is convenient to so many places and villa itself is delightful. Robert, the host, is friendly, inviting, and even took us out to a local breakfast spot to show us around. The area was safe and we were able to enjoy the host’s pool as well and enjoyed chatting with him too. One of the coolest parts is how Robert has his artwork and a collection of art from different Chinese dynasties and other Asian cultures surrounding the whole property. It’s like living in a museum. Nothing!

Robert was warm, friendly, and communicated important details promptly. The space is gorgeous, filled with his creativity and love of art. The walls showcase his artwork, and the unique antiques and choices make the villa a peaceful, beautiful place to rest. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

This place is definitely worth a stay. Paintings and ancient Chinese artifacts are everywhere, even in the guest room. The host is very friendly, warm‑hearted, and thoughtful, preparing everything we might need. The villa is only a 5‑minute walk from Black Beach, where we spent two lovely days. By the way, the puppies are very friendly too. It was an unforgettable experience.

Robert has created a sanctuary that feels like home. He is the most wonderful, charismatic, kind, and generous man, and that shows in how he treats guests. He and his partner Dhel are beautiful people, incredibly kind and intuitive to your needs, open, welcoming, and willing to do anything for you. Kadek, the housekeeper, is lovely, kind, and very professional. I felt I wanted for absolutely nothing; all my needs were considered and taken care of. I left feeling completely refreshed and rejuvenated. The porch and garden view were peaceful. Conversations with Robert and viewing his beautiful art were a highlight. His paintings capture the mundane parts of daily Balinese life with expression and movement, making it feel like a private gallery where the pieces are available for purchase—a genuinely marvelous experience. The room is enormous, and the mattress is the most comfortable I’ve ever slept on. The bathroom is gorgeous and spacious, and the plunge pool in the back is refreshing, especially on hot days. I couldn’t find a more perfect place to spend time in Bali. If you’re mindful that it’s further out, I assure you there is a world within Villa Koi and Keramas/The Saba area that deserves exploration, with anything that might interest you within reach, accessible, and reasonably priced. The best food areas, at incredibly reasonable prices, are in the surrounding area. Unfortunately I didn’t take enough photos, so they don’t do justice to how beautiful this space is. I genuinely couldn’t find a single thing I didn’t like about Villa Koi and I doubt you will either.
