A pretty, traditional 17th‑century building near Alton Towers – perfect for our trip!

The room with a kitchenette and sofa opposite the TV made for a very comfortable stay. With both an Aldi and a Waitrose nearby in Uttoxeter, I could relax with a simple meal and drinks while watching Netflix after a long drive. Private off‑road parking was available, and I slept well. Breakfast was delicious and cooked to order each morning. The drive to Alton Towers takes less than 20 minutes. The attached photo shows the view from the window. There was nothing I didn't like.

The staff were friendly and the food was good. However, the room doors were small, so the second adult on the booking had to bend down a lot. The corridor and dining area felt a little cramped.

The quiet location, clean room, and excellent staff made for a great stay, and the breakfast was very nice. It offers far better value for money and I’ll definitely return if needed. The TV reception was poor, but everything else—wifi and more—was fine.
