The two reception guys were wonderfully kind and courteous, always ready to go the extra mile to meet every request. The rooms are generously sized and the common areas are spacious.

This riad was in a perfect spot just off one of the main streets that lead down to the blue gate, so it was easy to find. The room was basic but clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great, with a good selection. Ali and Younis were absolutely fantastic hosts. Younis got up super early to make me a travel breakfast when I had an early start, and Ali carried my bag to the taxi station without me asking and wouldn’t take a tip. Highly recommend this place to stay. It made things stress‑free for me as a solo female traveller.

The quality‑price ratio was good, but there was nothing special.

What impressed me most was the friendliness and willingness of Younes and his friend who run the riad; they were ready for any request or need, always smiling. Breakfast and dinner were very good, and for dinner they always ask you in the morning what you want to eat. Younes even picked us up at the blue gate (about a 7‑8 minute walk from the property) and escorted us to the taxi for the airport on our departure day. Once you get on the road, reaching the blue door is easy because it sits on a cross street of the main Medina road. Younes was also very kind in pointing out all the sights in Fes and was available for organizing any excursion or tour in the Medina. The only downside is that the riad’s aesthetic is not first‑rate; it feels a bit antiquated, but for those seeking a non‑luxury experience it’s a great option. There’s also a small terrace on the riad that offers a magnificent view of the entire Medina.
