The house was nice and historic, the room was very clean, the staff friendly, and parking was free in the underground garage. The only downside was that with an open window it was very loud until 23 o’clock, and the facilities and atmosphere were very basic.

Hotel Baren sits in an excellent location within 15 minutes to the centre of Lucern either by bus or train; the bus station is right across the street and the train station is just a seam minute walk. The breakfast service offers a range of options for different dietary needs. If you want to eat at the hotel’s restaurant the food is fresh, traditional and delicious. A grocery store around the corner supplies anything you need, including toiletries and ready meals. Beautiful shops are nearby. If you enjoy the outdoors, there are some beautiful trails to explore, from as short as a mile to as long as taking you to a different city. The only negative was that it can be dark in the hallways at night.

The location was good. We stayed for 2 nights and they didn’t change our towels; we had to use garbage bags.

The hotel is a cute little place, super clean and the staff are friendly. The room was hot and lacked ventilation or air‑conditioning, and at night a street lamp shines directly into it while the street noise is loud, so you end up choosing between heat and stuffiness or bright light and noise, which isn't conducive to a good night's sleep.

The room was spotless and the location was ideal for reaching Lucerne. The train station is 5 minutes away and the bus stop is practically outside the hotel. The hotel offers a visitor card that covers transportation within zone 10. The blinds on the window could have been darker. My child got insect bites at night. The ventilation could have been better.
