Nothing to like as we couldn't get in the first night and had to stay in a hostel. Then the stay was cancelled for no reason. Not Booking.coms fault. The fact the couple who arrived early found an empty keybox and at 11pm had to find alternative accommodation. That the venue didn't contact us at any time and we, the second, couple arriving only found out we couldn't get in when in the taxi to the apartment. Booking com were helpful. Ueno Park were useless

“Good location and clean apartment”

The place was very well situated in a quiet area, and the host was kind, letting me drop off luggage and check in early 😊. Everything else was fine.

We picked this spot for its convenience near the Yamanote Line and the Ueno and Usuidagi stations. Having separate rooms was handy for our child, who filled one with all his toys. The apartment was nicely furnished and had high‑quality appliances. The kitchen only had a basic set (a pan and a pot), which might be the Japanese norm. The beds were French double beds, a bit too soft but useful after long walks. We stayed on the ground floor, and coming from bright hotels and apartments in Osaka, Kyoto, and Kanazawa, we missed windows and direct light. There’s only one window in the bedroom, always covered by a curtain that we’d have liked to open. The low ceiling also made the space feel somewhat claustrophobic. Photos online gave a sense of more light and space. We’d have preferred a luggage drop‑off point and an extra coat rack; there’s only one in one of the small rooms. Perhaps this is the Tokyo standard, but a different layout might have helped. The check‑in required a Google Forms document that looked like a police form, which didn’t match Tokyo’s regulations. Inside the apartment we found a notice and mouse traps, though we never encountered any mice.

“Ottima struttura, ottima posizione, staff gentilissimo!”

The apartment had all the comforts, was in a great spot near the subway and Ueno station, a little farther from the nightlife areas like Shinjuku and Shibuya, which was exactly what we wanted. Highly recommended for families traveling with kids. Nothing bad—spaces were a bit tight compared to European standards, but compared to other Tokyo accommodations there’s nothing to complain about; it’s a great place!
