Mascara, not well cared for place. Dirty, the tent was terrible.
“I‘d like to give more than 10/10”
Everything was magical. The hosts were outstanding, offered to drive us around, greeted us with wine and said goodbye with coffee. The views are breathtaking, the house is in good condition and overall I couldn’t have imagined a better stay in Ambrolauri. Nothing negative.
I met Vasili, who was incredibly friendly and turned a forest spot into a stunning retreat; his mother’s local breakfast was delicious, and waking up to birds and a beautiful view was a treat. Just remember that getting to that view requires a short uphill drive on a narrow road, so you’ll need a car. The glamping area looked a bit dated, but that didn’t bother us.
We felt like we were at grandma’s country house, very welcoming and cozy, with a beautiful mountain view. The fact that the glamping is in a village doesn’t bother us, the area is quite large. The food is homemade and tasty. The host helped us find a driver who took us around Racha.
The property is very well maintained, clean and has lovely views from the glamping pod/tent. Vasili went above and beyond with the hospitality including arranging a taxi when we were stranded. The food prepared by his mother is homely and delicious, there is cheap but delicious good quality wine on offer and getting to spend time with Grey (the dog) was a highlight. Definitely recommend
