There was still mold from a leak and peeling wallpaper, and on the second night I got locked out because the keys didn't work—unacceptable.

The overnight staff on Thursday and Friday were helpful, the coffee was good, and the courtyard looked nice, but the hotel was outdated, the phone never answered, and the breakfast selection was minimal.

I've stayed here many times before and the staff is generally kind, attentive, and very helpful, yet the property is clearly run down: one elevator was out for days, the wallpaper was faded, the laundry facilities were dirty, and while my room was fine, the public areas need a makeover.

The location was good, but the room had dirty, old carpet and the motel property is at least five years past a full remodel of rooms, flooring, walls, and plumbing fixtures—clearly the chain bought it and invested nothing. There was mold above the window in room 108, the elevator next to our room didn't work, and the room was so unclean we left after eating fast food, spending less than an hour before heading home. The property was misrepresented online; it’s a dive, and being charged $500 a night is a crime even for ND game days.

The location near the stadium was convenient, but there was no coffee machine in the room, a few bath towels had holes, there were only two flimsy plastic cups and an ice bucket, the bathroom was bare, the breakfast was messy with cereal and crumbs on the counters, items were empty at 9:30, there was no trash receptacle in the main room, the facility felt very dated, and the staff could be friendlier; for the price—more than doubled during football games—the hotel is unacceptable. We stayed here two years ago and it was fine, but the new ownership has a lot to fix. I asked the manager for compensation for the problems and she said that was standard for the room. Sorry, but we won’t stay here again unless changes are made.
