I liked the room that had a view of the plaza, but the TV was tiny and didn’t match the room.

The staff were friendly, the location was very good, and the amenities were great. Unfortunately, on the day we arrived the elevator wasn’t working and with so many people a single elevator couldn’t keep up; the escalators also failed, but both were fixed the next day.

I appreciate the location of the hotel “Galería Plaza Veracruz”; I chose it because my granddaughter was competing at Arena Veracruz and afterward she enjoyed the hotel’s pool. Its big advantage is that it’s covered and climate‑controlled, and few hotels in Veracruz’s port offer both. The restaurant food (Sunday breakfast buffet) disappointed me a bit; Hotel Bello’s breakfast buffet is better and much cheaper.
