Tūī Guesthouse, perched on Cooks Beach, offers two airy bedrooms and a living room, each with air‑conditioning, balcony, kitchenette, and free Wi‑Fi. Guests enjoy a sun terrace, garden, outdoor seating, barbecue, bicycle and private parking. A 13‑minute walk to the beach, 12 km to Cathedral Cove and 20 km to Mount Maunganui, makes it ideal for nature lovers.

The property had plenty of gear and the owners were friendly, but it felt more suited to families with young kids than to a group of four adults. The sleeping setup for the second couple, hidden behind a curtain, wasn’t ideal.

The accommodation was perfect—clean, tidy, and close to local attractions. It came with baby gear and toys, and the host was very kind and quick to respond. Nothing to complain about; we’d definitely come back and recommend it 100 %.

The hosts were lovely and even let us check in early. The raglan roast coffee pods were a tasty touch, and the balcony bathed in sunshine was a great spot to wake up. Wi‑Fi was fast and easy to stream from phone to TV. Nothing else to add—everything was wonderful!

This bach‑style spot feels both cosy and airy, with very comfortable beds and high‑quality linen for a great night’s sleep. It has all the essentials for a relaxing stay, and the hosts are fantastic—providing plenty of privacy while staying available for questions. Highly recommended.
