I absolutely loved the room – the bed was super comfy, the shower area was clean and lovely. Breakfast was excellent and the food great. The owner was a wonderful lady and I would highly recommend it. The only minor downside was that the room was a bit cold, but it’s an older building so that’s understandable; overall it was lovely.

There was nothing to dislike about this property. It’s in a great spot just off the High Street, close to restaurants, cafes, shopping and sights. The room was clean, the bed extremely comfortable and plenty of towels were provided. No negatives.

I booked through a platform that added extra fees, so the owner said breakfast wouldn’t be available. We asked for a room above the ground floor, yet we were handed a small ground‑floor room with windows overlooking a busy path and road, people walking right by the window—no privacy at all, and the window couldn’t be locked. The room was cold, damp, and the electric storage heater kept clicking constantly. The location, however, was good.

The staff were fantastic, welcoming and friendly, and they helped us check in after a nearby wedding. The bed was very comfortable, and the room had everything we needed, including a nice shower and tea and coffee. The only downside was a slight unpleasant smell from the bathroom drains, but it didn’t bother us.
