The room was lovely and spacious, complete with cooking facilities and a fridge, plus a relaxing balcony that overlooks a lush garden in a peaceful setting—just a short walk to the beach and restaurants.

The host was friendly. The location was great—right on the beach and easily reachable from the train station if you find the rear entrance that sits directly on the tracks; Google Maps didn’t show it correctly, but the host was very helpful in locating it. Some small spots weren’t entirely clean: the pan wasn’t clean, the fridge was only moderately clean, and the toilet paper holder in the bathroom was only moderately clean. We also found a large spider and a lizard inside the accommodation—so expect that if you’re in Sri Lanka. :)

The stay in Hikkaduwa was brilliant; the place had everything and more. The room was very large with a comfortable bed and pillows, plus a kitchenette that included an electric kettle, stove, and a large fridge—great for keeping water and beer cold. A big wash rack was also provided. The bathroom was spacious, offered hot water, and had excellent water pressure. Everything looked brand new and worked well. There was a desk and office chair for digital nomads, and the Wi‑Fi performed excellently. The owner went out of his way to ensure a comfortable stay, responding quickly to any questions—even if you can’t find him on the property. On our first day I texted him for a bucket to wash my swimwear, a broom, and an extra bed cover; within five minutes he had everything ready with a big smile. The location was fantastic: just a five‑minute walk to the main street in Hikkaduwa with bars and restaurants, and the beach was right there. We couldn’t have asked for more. Thank you for making this a great stay 🙏 Everything was great! I would definitely stay here again.
