The inn is excellently located in the heart of Louisbourg. The place feels warm and the staff are very welcoming. Breakfast is served in the dining room and is generous. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the setting is quiet enough to rest and spend several days.

The room was cozy and charming, the staff were super friendly and helpful, and breakfast was excellent! The only downside was the lack of a television.

We stayed in a lovely ground‑floor room in this beautifully renovated house, right in the town of Louisbourg—a delightful place in itself—and only a short walk from the Fortress of Louisbourg National Historic Site of Canada, which is truly worth seeing. Breakfast was excellent, the staff friendly, and I couldn’t ask for more. Honestly, I can’t think of anything else.

The room was spotless and I appreciated the guest sitting area. I especially enjoyed the waffles, fruit and bacon at breakfast, and the hostess was very friendly. The hotel’s spot near Louisbourg Fort is great, and the nearby Lighthouse trail offers a nice walk just a short drive away. Spoondrift Cafe, which is very close, served a tasty homemade peanut and chocolate cheesecake. The Bothy at Northstar was a 20‑minute walk away and had entertainment on Friday night.
