Breakfast was plentiful and tasty, freshly brought by the owner at the requested time. There were several options for breakfast, and you could pre‑order the day before. Our e‑bikes fit in the garage, and charging worked smoothly there. Room access was by code, and contact via WhatsApp made check‑in stress‑free. However, there was no TV. In the bathroom the motion sensor for the light was poorly positioned, and the light would go out while showering.

The room had a fun, off‑beat vibe and the bed was surprisingly comfy; the shower was strong and the breakfast spread was top‑notch. Communication through WhatsApp was spot‑on and getting there from the Vennbahn was a breeze, plus the garage kept our bikes safe. The only real drawback was the lack of natural light – the corner windows faced a hedge, so in summer the room felt dim, and we missed having a mini‑fridge.

“Très bien”

We loved the breakfast that was brought up to our room and the host was friendly and quick to help. The only annoyance was that none of the glass doors had any blinds, so sunrise hit us early. Considering it was the Spa F1 weekend, the rate felt a bit steep for what you get.

The room itself, its spot in town, the breakfast and the shower all hit the mark. It would have been handy to have a small fridge for cold drinks – you could probably ask for one – and the coffee and tea were there, everything was kept tidy.

The beds were excellent – firm enough to support you but still comfortable, and we slept like logs.
