Everything was great: delicious food and a lovely location. We were a bit late for check‑in, but the owners were understanding and waited for us; they’re also open to requests if possible. There was no mirror in the room or bathroom, and the air‑conditioning had to be paid separately.

The staff were kind and very smiling. The stay was very disappointing: the room was okay overall, but the bathroom was dirty and we were shocked to find a frog there. There was no Wi‑Fi and the air‑conditioning was broken. Dinner and breakfast were included, but the quality didn’t meet expectations; it’s far better to eat outside. Given the services offered, the value for money is poor.

The price was very affordable, especially for Kalpitiya. The owners were pleasant, the food was good and cheap, and there was plenty of space around the bungalows.

The place is cheap but very basic, so I’d recommend having your own transport if you stay here. Walking to the beach takes 45 minutes and to Kalpitiya’s centre about 30 minutes. The pick‑me‑up service doesn’t work well in this area. I tried renting a bike; I asked the owner at night for the next day and he said it was fine, but in the morning he wasn’t there and his wife told me it would be later… I gave up and ended up walking and taking a tuk‑tuk.
