“Linda vista, porém sem conforto.”
The view was really beautiful and the location was good. There was a pool, but it wasn’t heated. Unfortunately the room wasn’t comfortable: the bed was hard, the linens were low quality, ruffled and stained, and many items were dirty—the toilet had a bad smell, the jacuzzi released foul‑smelling water that made us nauseated, the shower glass had mouth marks, and overall the cleaning was very poor. Breakfast was basic. Moreover, my room was near three heaters and several air‑con exhausts that made loud noises and kept the room hot so the AC couldn’t work. Other guests made a lot of noise for hours. I was celebrating my wedding anniversary with my husband, but I left without sleeping well or enjoying any of the hotel’s amenities. I didn’t feel the stay was worth the high cost.
The hotel is charming and the view is surreal, and the team is fantastic—always polite and helpful! On one rainy day I couldn’t leave, but they have a room‑service restaurant, and everything I ate was delicious. Unfortunately I got caught in rain during my stay, which stopped me from using the pool and doing some outings. Because we’re in Santa Teresa, we always had to use taxis or Uber, which added a bit to the cost.
“Lindo e confortável”
I stayed in the Urca room and loved the view and the bathtub. The room was also very spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was well served and offered a beautiful view too. The only drawback is the location, which feels a bit isolated, but the view more than makes up for it.
“Great value hotel in Santa teresa as long as you don’t mind taxis to get everywhere! Staff lovely, and amazing views.”
The view of Santa Teresa was lovely, the staff were very friendly, and it offered great value compared to other Rio spots. The rooms felt a bit worn, especially the bathrooms. The air‑con was inconsistent, and breakfast was a set‑serve rather than a buffet, which I preferred. I had to rely on taxis for getting around.
“As expectativas eram muito altas porém acabei completamente frustrado com a experiência.”
The view was amazing and the food was great, even though there were only a few options. The Instagram ads made us think it was a Class A place with fancy amenities and services, but that wasn’t the case. There was a strong sense of neglect and indifference toward guest comfort. Even though renovations were underway, it didn’t justify the state of the place. From the start, the staff who welcomed us had a torn shirt and the reception looked poorly maintained with worn paint, floor marks, and disorganization. In the room, I stayed in the most expensive suite and was hugely disappointed: the bed was uncomfortable, the linens were plain, the bathroom had hair tufts, there were missing accessories, burnt-out lights, and a broken jacuzzi. The restaurant food was tasty but slow and expensive for what it delivered. Breakfast was very basic. Overall, the hotel’s facilities needed repairs and better staff organization. It feels like nothing is done professionally—everything looks like a makeshift fix. In short, the experience doesn’t justify the R$1.4k per night plus dinner costs, and I feel cheated. I won’t return.
