The room was of adequate size and the bed was good. Several shortcomings were present, some of which were repaired while others were not, and there was no mention of compensation even though some items disappeared from the room. A police report was filed. I could not use the pool because the loose steps were not secured in any way. The wind broke, there was a power outage (the fridge started melting), Wi‑Fi worked partially, hot water was only available on request, and skin lesions began to appear (possible louse infestation).

Everything was spot on: rooms were spotless, breakfast tasty, and the vibe was great. Danny, Linda, Modou, and everyone else went out of their way to make sure we had a fantastic stay. Modou even offered to show us the main sights and was always ready to help. We also had a lovely evening with Danny and Linda at a dance show in a local school. We couldn't have chosen a better, safer place. Highly recommend.

“Overall very clean - good breakfast - managed well”

What sets this place apart from most others is the incredible water pressure—something you often hear complaints about in Gambia, but not here at all. The power situation is solid too; a light rain shower can cause outages elsewhere, but they have a generator that starts up quickly if power goes out. Free Wi‑Fi was solid, and the fried eggs at breakfast were so good we ordered them almost daily. The house stays very clean and the staff is helpful. The location is a few streets off the main road, but walking to the beach or restaurants was fine. The only downside was that guests don’t get a key for the front gate; you usually have to knock and wait for someone to answer, which can be awkward late at night. Air‑conditioning costs extra, which is understandable.
