The spot was spot on for me, just a quick hop from where I spent most of my time in West Asheville. Breakfast was solid – everything hot, like scrambled eggs and breakfast sausage, was freshly made and plenty. The only downside was that, being an older hotel, the room still carried a faint cigarette smoke smell.

The manager surprised me with an upgrade, and the room turned out to be spacious and spotless.
