We had a wonderful night in the desert. The camp is small and cozy, the hosts were incredibly kind, and the food was delicious. It’s set among massive sand dunes, and the sunsets and sunrises are breathtaking. It’s a perfect place to truly disconnect from civilisation, with no internet connection.

A tiny camp with three tents right in the middle of nowhere. The pick‑up worked out perfectly; we just had to drive after that and were welcomed with tea, coffee, and fruit as warmly as possible. Then we went for a walk. At 19:00 there was a huge Omani meal for the two of us. Saddam and his team really worked their magic. Afterwards they even made us a fire. It was a wonderful experience.

The desert left us speechless! We spent one night at Ali’s place, a young entrepreneur. His property sits right in the middle of the desert, very isolated and authentic. The tent is spacious and comfortable, the outdoor bathroom is very clean. We really enjoyed the sunrise camel trek. The dinner was absolutely delicious. The breakfast was nothing special, and unfortunately there was no fire lit in the evening because of a lack of fuel. The value for money is high because all services are excluded, including transportation. We also chose to have lunch with Ali’s Bedouin family, who were very welcoming, but I would not repeat that experience. One note: the manager does not answer questions posted on the booking site; it’s better to contact him via WhatsApp if you have special requests.
