A wonderful experience! We spent one night with breakfast and were very pleased. The traditional inn is stunning, and the staff are extremely kind and helpful.

The place was spotless and stunningly decorated, and I couldn’t find anything to dislike!

I loved the cozy vibe, the close distance to the train station, the amazing traditional dinner and breakfast, and the welcoming staff. A bath had already been arranged for us before we arrived, and the futon beds in the spacious, cool, authentic Ryokan room gave me a wonderful sleep.

The room and overall accommodation were fantastic—authentic, clean, and comfortable. I appreciated the private Onsen, the authentic Japanese breakfast, and the tea offered at check‑in. However, the main reason I booked this Inn was the Omakase experience, where a private chef would visit the fish market and prepare a nightly dining experience for guests. We checked in on Sunday, hoping to relax in the Onsen and enjoy a great dinner afterward. Unfortunately, we were told after check‑in that the chef works only on weekdays and is off every Sunday, which is fine but meant we couldn’t have the dinner we were paying over $400 for. We also only had an hour in the Onsen. The staff were kind, and I think this might have been a miscommunication, but without the dinner, the $400 didn’t feel worth it. The dining experience is heavily promoted on their social media, making it seem like the highlight, yet we missed it. They also offer a “free drink” only if you post about the establishment online, which I found unprofessional. I should have received the drink without having to promote the place. Additionally, a light shone directly into our room, so we had to sleep with eye masks. If you plan to stay here, avoid Sundays and bring eye masks!
