“完美的雨林之旅 太精彩了 令人难忘”
The Sinharaja itinerary was the highlight of my Sri Lankan trip. We chose the five‑falls tour, which was totally worth the price. We saw bamboo leaves, giant lizards, tree frogs, crabs, and a variety of amazing insects, and the guide kept close to the animals to capture many great photos, which was hilarious. At the last waterfall we tried fish therapy, and I fell while crossing the river back, so I ended up swimming downstream—an unforgettable experience. The guide is a very cute person and also the host. We drove from Udawalawe the night before, a tough drive that made us arrive late, but he was patient. He was chatty on the trip and spoke English fluently, which mattered a lot. Yesterday’s guide in Udawalawe had poor English and we missed out on many interesting moments. He used simple language to explain science, and we communicated perfectly, even joking naturally. Our conversation made me feel the differences between Sri Lanka and China, which was very interesting. One of the most fun parts was learning that what Sri Lankans call a poisonous mushroom is just a regular vegetable back home. The guide mentioned that this was the second time a Chinese person stayed at his guesthouse, so I guess I should help promote it. The room we stayed in was beautifully decorated—whether it was the owner’s design or a hired designer, it felt like a hotel art room and was so tidy I almost wanted to sleep on the floor. There was a book called *Worth Protecting* on the bedside, which was great, explaining many Sri Lankan plants and animals; I didn’t finish it but photographed every page. There was also a guest review book, but I didn’t get to write in it. Everyone crossing the river should wear non‑slip shoes; I slipped, it wasn’t serious at first but later got a bit bad. When we left we toured the house, the kids were adorable, and my wife gently helped me apply medicine. Luckily my leg was back to normal after two days. Still, it was a perfect trip.
