The bathroom, washing machine, ironing board with iron in the room felt like a luxury for a road trip! 😍 Plenty of fresh towels, good plumbing and water pressure. The breakfast was really tasty and plentiful. The location is great. The staff are pleasant, and on the second day I discovered they actually speak Russian. I searched for a hotel with “parking available” because I drive, so that’s essential for me. I had never been to Istanbul and had no idea what the neighborhood around my booking looked like. The hotel simply has no parking. When I arrived, I was in a wild panic because the streets here are very narrow and not meant for driving or parking at all. I don’t understand why that parking point is listed in the description. It’s very noisy, but that’s not a complaint about the hotel, just a fact due to its location. For anyone who values quiet, this should be mentioned.

“Ok but far below expectations for a 9.2”

The spot was close enough to walk to all the main sights. Breakfast was decent and plentiful. Beds were comfortable and clean. The 9.2 rating I saw when booking was far too high; I’d give it 7/10 at best, only because the price was reasonable. The suite looked much bigger and nicer in the photos than it actually was – it felt cramped. One morning there was a cat turd on the stairs right outside our door that we could have stepped in! The staff were fine but not especially warm or helpful and didn’t add anything to the experience. There was no bin in the room. The fridge door seal was loose, so the fridge was basically useless. Others have mentioned the street noise, which is pretty bad, and the windows are so thin we kept thinking they were open!

“A great stay with lovely people!”

We enjoyed a fantastic stay in Istanbul at this atmospheric house with lovely apartments in the old harbour area. Big thanks to Sabina, who managed the rooms and was very friendly; we had great chats in the morning! Thanks to Renat for the help and the excellent Turkish coffee! The breakfast was lovely and tasty, and they even prepared it for us when we had to leave early for the airport. Even though the steps up to our apartment were steep, the host himself brought our luggage up. Thank you all for the wonderful hospitality! We also loved the design of the property. When we return to the beautiful city of Istanbul, we’ll definitely come back!

The location was excellent, close to most attractions. Really good restaurants nearby. The room was very clean and had all the amenities. Check‑in and check‑out were very easy thanks to 24‑hour staff.
