Best Western Lake Oswego Hotel & Suites

“Typical BW”

The bed was comfortable and the room was clean, exactly as we expected, staff were friendly, and breakfast was standard—just fine for one night. However, soundproofing was severely lacking; compared to other hotels I’ve stayed in right on I‑5, this one was pretty bad for road noise, and you could hear every footstep from the room above you. The coffee was horrible.

“Thank You 👍🏻”

For a fun girls' weekend, our suite was spot‑on: plenty of space for all four of us, friendly staff, and a decent breakfast spread. The downside was the location—right next to the busy I‑5, not in Lake O’s best area. When I walked into the room there was a strong odor, but my friend quickly identified it and fixed the issue.

The hotel looked fine at first glance and the staff seemed polite, but they failed to pass on the correct details for our stay. We had booked a pet room, yet none were available when we arrived, and the extra charges were far beyond what we expected—almost the cost of a second room. We also asked for a ground‑floor room but were told we’d be on the 4th floor. None of this was the hotel’s fault; we should have double‑checked our requests before arriving. I’m hugely disappointed with this booking site and won’t use it again. This wasn’t the first major issue on this trip, as we were also charged for rooms that had been booked and cancelled months earlier.

“Disappointed and grossed out”

The pillows were comfy and the location gave easy access to the I‑5. However, the lobby had a raw sewage smell, and the bathroom in our room was no better—there was a heavy odor like a busted pipe in the wall. The room itself wasn’t clean: boogers on the nightstand, hair in the bathroom, and light switches covered in grime and an unknown pink substance. I booked a room with a service dog and was charged as a pet; the front desk staff were unkind and clueless about ADA requirements. Bleached blood spots on the white sheets should have been replaced. All in all, a truly terrible experience.

“Comfortable & convenient”

The room was spacious and spotless, and the cable lineup had plenty of channels so I could catch any game I wanted. Parking was free and convenient, and breakfast had everything I expected. A few reviews mentioned highway noise because the hotel sits right next to it, but honestly, it wasn’t that bad. I also appreciated the little earplugs provided in the room just in case. Overall, a comfortable and convenient stay.
