The dinner and breakfast were nice, the location was quiet and convenient for getting back onto the M6, and the bedrooms were stylish, but there was no outlet in front of the mirror for the hairdryer and the cord was too short.

We used this hotel as a stopover on our way to Scotland from London, having already visited Keswick before which was fabulous; the staff were super friendly, the room was small but comfortable, and the bed and pillows were very cozy. We dined in the restaurant, where the food was nice but limited for someone like my partner who prefers plain meals; he enjoyed a burger without the trimmings. Breakfast offered many choices, all cooked fresh and delicious. We stayed twice—once heading to Scotland and again on the return trip. The first stay had a lovely, cosy room, but on the second stay (in the same room) the window had been left open, the heating never turned on, the room was very cold, and after a long journey we went straight to bed without heating in the morning; the bathroom was also too cold for a shower, though we were leaving early. Despite that, everything was great on the first stay.
