After booking, we arrived at Bela Bela (dangerous area, by the way) at night; the hotel staff said no rooms were available. I reminded them we’d spoken the day before, and they then admitted they had a conversation but claimed we hadn’t paid—though we booked through Booking and were to pay upon arrival. They offered no solution and were very disrespectful, so we had to find another place. I’m writing this so no one else has to go through the same.

The location was accurate, but the house was infested with ants.

The gardens were beautiful and well kept, and the staff were super helpful and friendly, but the bathroom looked a bit worn, with holes in the tub where ants were building nests every day.

The staff were welcoming, the accommodation was spacious and the garden pleasant, yet the place was really remote, so a car was essential, and unlike typical rentals it lacked any cooking facilities or even a table.
