The hotel sits in a great spot, but the elevator is a hassle.

The hotel is close to the old town and Quyen Lake. The elevator only goes to the 6th floor, yet my room was on the 7th (top floor), so I had to walk up an extra level, which was inconvenient for moving luggage.

I had a nice stay right in the centre, though the breakfast next door could use some improvement.

The location is ideal, just beside Hoan Kiem Lake and the old quarter, with the water puppet theatre right behind the hotel; the main sights, cafés (notably Café Dinh) are all within walking distance. Because it’s in the old quarter, the nights are noisy.
