The Beach House consistently feels lovely—friendly staff, great location near Mirissa and Galle, and a beach with waves that are usually great for surfing, free of stones or sea urchins. I’ll definitely book it again next holiday.
We’ve stayed here three times now. The staff are very friendly and the spot is perfect for calm beach days. The beach is wide and inviting for walks, with no coral or stones in the water, and the waves are fun to surf.
The staff, especially at the restaurant, were very courteous. The location by the sea is great and quiet, and every morning there’s a new twist on the breakfast.
The view is great, the vibe feels family‑like, it’s right on the beach, airy, well connected by transport, and the owner gives useful tips. Breakfast is good with fresh juice, but we couldn’t swim because of the waves and the room needed a little repair.
“Great guest house in a perfect location”
The location is ideal—right on the beach, stunning views, and just a 3‑minute walk to the train and bus stations, making it super convenient. The beach itself is beautiful, a long stretch of sand, quiet and picturesque. My room was clean, comfortable, had AC and a fridge, and I could hear the waves at night. Nearby there are shops and restaurants, though I didn’t explore them because the food at Beach House was delicious home cooking. The staff were friendly and efficient, and the owner introduced me to a lovely local tuk‑tuk driver, Kushan, who took me kayaking on Koggala Lake, to a museum, a tea plantation, and more.
