Right next door to the train station, which was fantastic. A lovely, friendly welcome and help with my luggage up some stairs was so kind. The room was very clean, comfortable, and had crisp bed linen. Great stay—basic but does the job and I would recommend it. Nothing was wrong; I was really pleased with the accommodation.

The staff were very helpful and friendly, and the location was good, but the room was rundown and needed renovation—especially the bathroom where floor tiles were damaged and the tap wasn’t fully secured. Sheets and pillow cases were marked and not 100% clean.

The staff were friendly and the room lovely, with a clean en suite bathroom and good facilities—tea, coffee, kettle, and TV. It was different from what other guests had mentioned in previous reviews. Because it’s close to the train station, you might want ear plugs if you plan to sleep.

The hotel’s location near the city centre was convenient, but the upkeep was terrible: curtains were dirty, walls stained and damp, windows covered in grime and spider webs, no shampoo or shower gel, a filthy shower hose, toilets never cleaned, and the hotel linens were drying in the stairwell, which itself was cluttered with odd items. I had to take my morning shower at my sister’s place next door. This room can’t honestly be called a hotel room at that price. Over three nights the room was never serviced; the bed sheets were left as I’d found them. The only bright spot was that on the second day a vacuum cleaner passed by my door and kept doing so until I left.
