The breakfast was spotless and excellent, and you can book a tour from Julian for 350‑400 plus a 100 entrance fee. Finding the place is a bit tricky, and there aren’t many other facilities available.

Overall, the stay was very good. The host is a friendly guy, the property looks nice and clearly still expanding. A nice bonus is the free taxi to the village, where you can see a bit more. With a 1.5‑year‑old, it was a little tough: aside from the park and your own room, there isn’t much else to do. We knew this beforehand, so it isn’t really a complaint about the place itself.

The simple cabins right on the edge of Tangkoko National Park were perfect, the food was delicious, and the ten‑person family ran a wonderful service; we did both park tours—the afternoon one to see the tarsiers and the sunrise trek to watch the macaques—and loved every bit of it. We also walked 25 minutes to the black‑sand beach nearby. I would definitely come back. No complaints.
