The location was excellent, easy to reach from a domestic flight out of Male and a 5‑minute boat ride from Dharavandhoo. The hotel faces Bikini Beach with a stunning shoreline and gorgeous sunsets. The staff were super friendly and helpful, and there were plenty of excursions at very reasonable prices.

We loved this ocean‑front hotel; the staff were friendly and courteous, and we’re especially grateful for the way they arranged all our excursions – a manta‑ray trip to Hani‑far, night snorkeling on the reef, and a ride to the neighboring island. Right across from the hotel is a shared beach and a bikini‑beach with loungers, white clean sand, a gentle slope, and a vibrant live reef teeming with fish – we even saw a turtle, octopuses, a reef shark, a butterflyfish, a stonefish and many others. The hotel provides masks and fins for free, the rooms are spotless and the property feels brand‑new. Over six days the breakfast and dinner variety was sufficient and everything tasted good; the tuna at dinner was especially delicious. Overall, a completely positive experience.

We stayed for 10 unforgettable days at Thundi by Biosphere on Maalhos Island in July 2026, and it was the best vacation we could have imagined. By the second day the staff already felt like family, so leaving felt like saying goodbye to relatives instead of hotel staff. The kitchen and restaurant team—especially Sana and Lette—made every breakfast, lunch, and dinner feel warm and homely, even between meals. Managers were always nearby, ready to help with anything: they played chess with my son, kicked a football around with him, cooked the fish we caught while fishing ourselves, and organized a stunning sunset dinner for us right on the beach. We’re already dreaming of returning.

The rooms are modern, clean, and comfortable, with a quick change of sheets and towels that we really appreciated. The hotel sits right in front of the most beautiful beach on the island, and the evening dining is good, offering a varied menu; the chef cooks very well. Initially we got a room facing a wall, with two single beds and no TV, which didn’t match our reservation, but we were able to change it once our dissatisfaction was taken into account. The Wi‑Fi didn’t work properly in our new room, and there were communication problems with the excursions: we had to wait 3 days before an excursion to Hanifaru Bay could be offered, even though there were Manta according to the rangers. The breakfast variety was lacking: very little fruit and few fish for dinner. Overall, we don’t see the value for money we expected for such a mid‑range hotel, and we didn’t get the experience we anticipated for a place with such great potential.

“Super consigliato!!”

Located in an excellent spot right in front of Bikini Beach, the property is furnished with modern décor and is in excellent condition. The staff are prepared, welcoming, and ready to fulfill your requests. The menu offers a good variety of high‑quality dishes, and another plus is the range of excursions organized by the hotel.
