The welcome was pleasant, breakfast plentiful, and they catered to our requests. The location, right in the mountains, is great. The setup is simple but solid. The only downside was the lack of a ventilation or window in the bathroom.

Everything was fine.

The staff were very friendly, breakfast was good, and the restaurant food was also excellent. The bus stop is just 2 minutes from the hotel.

The B&B has a covered terrace and a nice location. The room itself is outdoors; the beds should have been replaced years ago. The sheets and blankets had dog hair, and the room only had two roof windows with no curtains. At arrival there was no water pressure, so we couldn’t use the toilet or shower. This was known the night before our arrival but we weren’t told. We booked three nights for the European Bikeweek. After one sleepless night we left. You can’t lie on such a mattress. We tried contacting the owner twice; he told Booking that curtains existed and the mattresses were replaced last year, but earlier reviews on Booking contradict that. The B&B refunded us. Because of the event there were no other hotels or B&Bs available, so we couldn’t book anything else. Booking only offered a B&B 80 km away. In short, the complaints about room 3 were known yet the room was still sold. That tells me the place cares more about money than guests. We spent a 12‑hour drive, gas, and tolls for the trip, and we couldn’t attend the European Bikeweek in Faak am See.
