The castle lodging exceeded our expectations, absolutely amazing. A beautiful relaxation spot and a visit to the largest private costume museum. Our travel companion, Maltese Bertík, received a lovely collar charm as a farewell (Ostrov Castle – I was at Ostrov Castle). We highly recommend this place and would love to come back in the future. Thanks a lot to the owner and everyone around who takes care of this experience. I have no complaints, everything was fine.

A very quiet location, the renovation was done with sensitivity and taste, and no one turned it into an overpriced destination or kitschy place. Spacious lodging, a large shared kitchen fully equipped for cooking. A coffee machine was available – a real plus in a place where coffee isn’t easy to buy. A lovely adjacent garden and outdoor seating on the courtyard. Throughout the day I worked and appreciated the large work table (room 11), strong Wi‑Fi and the garden view. On the downside, the cleaning was poor – there was dust and cobwebs everywhere in the room, the toilet hadn’t been cleaned for a while, and the shower stall was clogged with limescale. It’s a huge pity because that detail is what separates ordinary accommodation from exceptional. The common areas were fine, but I would have liked more equipment for hot drinks – the coffee machine was there, but tea or anything else was missing. On the ground floor there’s a fridge that encourages you to take something out and pay with a QR code – unfortunately it remained almost empty throughout my 5‑night stay.

The little castle is incredibly charming! It somehow carries the vibe of a youth hostel in a positive way thanks to the shared kitchen, yet it’s noticeably nicer. The garden is wonderful, complete with fruit trees, and the beds are very comfortable, making the stay truly peaceful. The bathtub right in the middle of the room is a bit romantic but not very practical.

We were pleasantly surprised by the castle itself, which has been sensitively restored along with its intriguing surroundings. The place feels very cozy and offers amazing tranquility.
