The property was gorgeous and impeccably kept, tucked away in a spot perfect for catching an early sunrise or a stunning sunset. There were many amenities, and I appreciated the thoughtfully installed step‑in shower for people with a physical disability. Loved everything.

Addison was very welcoming and friendly. He offered breakfast options—continental or full, the latter at extra cost—which was nice to have a choice. He even went out of his way to help us with an emergency while we were in the area. The house and beds were comfortable, and the place was quiet. Exactly what we needed.

Big Addison was very welcoming and accommodating, with clear instructions and good signage throughout. We used both bedrooms, and they were spacious and comfortable. There is also a large living and lounging area, and although we didn’t use it much, we appreciated the extra space. The comfortable sitting and TV room was excellent for watching the sunrise. Outside, the front porch was good for watching the sunset, and around the corner were additional outdoor lounging areas to just sit, listen, watch the birds, and even play darts. The kitchen was clean and accessible. A big added feature was a 12‑top self‑guided tour of Columbus developed and provided by Addison that vividly traces the attack of Pancho Villa on the village in 1916. It includes several historic sites as well as Pancho Villa State Park and the railroad museum. He also offers a guided tour. Perfect for those interested in history like we are (my wife is a university history professor)! He also provides recommendations of places to eat in Columbus, and of the Pink Store across the border in Puerto Palomas. Just an overall excellent and comfortable stay! Our only regret is that we couldn’t stay at the Hole in the Wall Getaway longer and visit further with Addison, as we wanted to get an early start on the places to see in Columbus and across the border.

Addison was a great host. I felt taken care of throughout my stay. I was riding my bike cross country and when I got to his place, the weather turned windy. I couldn’t ride the following day due to high winds and Addison helped me out by driving me to El Paso. The facilities were cozy and no detail was overlooked. Would stay here again. The town is limited in what is available for resupplies and food

Very well appointed home. We were able to enjoy a movie in very comfortable recliners. We had trouble finding it but called Big Addison, he gave great instructions and went outside to wave us in
