The staff were very friendly, the rooms were newly renovated, the menu was excellent, and the breakfast was super tasty. The only downside was that I could hear church bells every half hour throughout the night.

“Cigarette smoke and old carpets overshadow a gem of a hotel and restaurant”

The staff were friendly, the restaurant food was good and reasonably priced, the room was spacious, and the bathroom was modern. They provided sparkling water, comfortable beds, linens, and shampoo/body wash. The women who served breakfast and the front‑desk staff were very pleasant, and the restaurant and front‑desk area were smoke‑free in the mornings, giving the hotel a different feel. However, the check‑in desk is next to the bar, which is the smoking area, so cigarette smoke formed a fog when we checked in and ate. The restaurant forbids smoking, yet the open bar area emitted a strong cigarette smell, which was shocking and diminished the experience. Someone also smoked in the hallway outside our room, so I had to open the hallway windows to breathe when leaving for breakfast. I don’t understand why smoking is still tolerated in this day and age; it’s disgusting and makes this dignified, beautiful old guesthouse and restaurant feel trashy. The old thin carpet in the room smelled like a wet dog and needed replacement immediately. For many people, including me, cigarette smoke and animal fur cause congestion, making it hard to sleep.

“Okey boende på vägen!”

Ligger bra till för att övernatta på längs vägen. Personalen behöver snäppa upp sig lite både i receptionen och i restaurangen
