The breakfast room feels like the 30s or 40s, with a Scottish breakfast, good coffee, tea, and muesli, and the host is friendly and gives useful tips. The rooms and bathrooms haven’t been renovated in the last 20 years, which you can feel; the décor style runs through the whole house, which I liked. The windows are uniquely double‑glazed and therefore old, so the first hint of mold appears, but not in every room. We stayed twice, so it isn’t really bad.

The owners are kind, the Scottish breakfast is excellent, and it’s easy to reach the city centre by bus; the house has a very British character. A little refurbishment in the bathroom would be nice, but everything was functional.

De sfeer. Er wordt geroemd over t ontbijt maar dat was niet echt heel bijzonder . De kamers zijn oud en er zou wel een keer wat opgeknapt kunnen worden
