The Fletcher Hotel Apeldoorn is nestled in a peaceful setting near Veluwe National Park. Guests can walk to the city centre in under 15 minutes. The hotel features a fitness centre, comfortable well-kept rooms, and an extensive breakfast. The internationally orientated restaurant and bar serve delicious food and drinks. Nearby attractions include Kröller-Müller Museum, Paleis Het Loo, and Apenheul.

The bathroom and breakfast were fine. Billing through Booking turned into a nightmare: unexplained extra charges, a sudden extra night that wouldn’t disappear from the invoice, and very expensive beers. The bar staff can’t tap, sometimes don’t speak Dutch, and can’t bill to the room. The door of room 119 doesn’t close on its own; you have to force it.

Reception was quick and friendly, and there’s parking for bikes too. The surroundings are pretty and clean. The breakfast service feels distant; no “good morning” or friendly chat.

The location and the beautiful building were lovely, and the doorman and the bar attendant were friendly. We were not welcomed warmly by the lady at reception; she was curt and gave us only minimal information. The bathroom was tiny despite the 18 m² room, with a sink the size of a faucet and a toilet that felt cramped. The two single beds were very narrow, only 70 cm wide.
