“El lugar perfecto si quieres tranquilidad”
The atmosphere was warm and the welcome was excellent, and I liked everything.
“El Château, es un remanso de paz y tranquilidad, maravillosamente atendido.”
We travelled to Occitania to explore the area, and the accommodation is excellently located in a tiny village just 15 minutes from Carcassonne’s centre, on the slope of the Black Mountain; within an hour you can reach the main cities and towns nearby—Toulouse, Narbonne, Castres, Mirepoix, Lagrasse, the Cathar castles, and more—making it a fantastic “operations centre” for car‑based day trips. The Château is a haven of peace and quiet. The rooms are spread across different buildings, none identical. We stayed in a suite that had two separate areas: a room with a huge bed and a lounge with enough furniture to feel very comfortable. Although there was no air conditioning, the room stayed cool and even cooled at night during a heat wave. The facilities are beautiful, with old parts of the castle that we didn’t visit much in summer, alongside gardens and a pool that was wonderful (the views are exceptional). Breakfast is excellent, with memorable homemade jams, served in a very comfortable room where you can easily chat with other guests. The hosts, Anne and Jean‑Luc, are the owners who live in the Château and treat it like their own home; their service is wonderful, they greet you at breakfast with whatever you want, they’re cultured and friendly, and they give the best advice for anything you need. In a week we enjoyed their friendship, felt like guests in their home, which is the best way to describe them. Highly recommended, whether you travel with or without pets, who are treated very well!
This is the best place ever; do yourself a favour and book. We liked everything.
“Ha sido una estancia maravillosa, Annie y Jean Luc súper atentos y encantadores”
The space itself was spectacular, the service was exquisite, and the common areas were super clean and well equipped; we liked everything.
“A lovely apartment within the chateau. Close to a nice town. 5 mins drive. A great place to relax. Peaceful.”
The apartment was very spacious, cleaned and refreshed every day, the hosts were attentive and friendly, and the pool was lovely.
