The skylight was our favorite feature; on a full moon night in the Czech Republic, our fourth‑floor room beneath the roof had creaky floors, slanted walls, and that very skylight above the bed. When we turned off the lights, the actual moonlight flooded the room, casting sharp, cold silver edges that made dust visible in the air and revealed a clear, stark starry sky—something you rarely see in Munich. The only sounds were the creak of the old roof frame and the endless sparkle overhead, creating a slightly eerie, almost judgmental glow that made us stay awake, lying there bathed in moon and stars. It was a small detail that turned a short trip into a lasting memory.
