“The breakfast was particularly disappointing and, overall, the stay did not feel remotely worth the price we paid.”
Zack, the English gentleman at Reception, was very accommodating, friendly and helpful throughout our stay. He was definitely a highlight of the experience. Unfortunately, I found the property very overpriced for the overall experience and facilities provided. The carpet in our room was visibly dirty, the window handle was broken, and there was no mini fridge in the room. Despite staying for three nights, our room was not cleaned during our stay. For the price point, I expected a significantly higher standard of facilities, cleanliness and service. Overall, the property felt quite average and did not provide the level of experience I would expect given the cost of accommodation at Mount Buller
“Do not recommend unless you want disappointment”
We didn’t like anything about the accommodation; it was not value for money at all, and we would not recommend this hotel to anyone because it fell below expectations for the price. The room was very small, breakfast was extremely limited, and they don’t cater for the number of people; some days even butter was not provided, which is the bare minimum.
“Overall great place to stay!”
Good location and the free breakfast is nice. The room was a little small and old.
“Nice quite comfortable”
It was a pleasant stay with a few minor details that could be improved. The beds were very comfortable, the location was quiet, and the hotel sits in the very back corner of the village. However, there is no mini fridge in the room, which makes it difficult if you have any food allergy. The shared lounge area is locked until 7:45 am, so I couldn’t use it in the morning. Breakfast only offered boiled eggs, and you had to be the first to the bowl; the staff limited it to 5 eggs each time and refilled the bowl every 30 minutes, so with 20 people in the room you had to be lucky to get an egg. Only full‑cream milk was supplied, no alternative, and there was no way to store any milk in your room.
They don’t have proper breakfast and we have to pay even for the coffee. This is unacceptable
